Biography

Manolo Sierra (born Cádiz 1973) studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Seville, specialized in sculpture, and ended his studies at the Faculty of Carrara (Italy). He completed his training with a year in Amsterdam and three years of study of classic engraving techniques in Girona.

He was awarded the Autumn Salon of Plasencia Prize, the Viprén Foundation painting award, and was finalist at the Young Award of the Sala Parés Gallery; among many others. Moreover, he is amongst selected painters of the Vila Casas Award and the BMW Painting Prize.

He has exhibited in Germany, Spain, Finland, Belgium, Guatemala, Colombia, Bali and the Arab Emirates, amonst others. Manolo has lived in Catalonia for almost twenty years and currently resides in Albons, a town of Baix Empordà. He maintains his studio in Sant Pere Pescador (Alt Empordà).
